Physical Levels

In this qi gong system, we build qi in the body in five physical levels. Each level contains a unique set of exercises and meditations. Typically, we train the body one level at a time. Throughout each level of training, you will be given a series of challenges as well as objective measures to demonstrate growth. The challenges are easy to begin with and the body gets used to winning. Then, as the challenges get harder, it takes little effort to do amazing things.

Class time is divided into theory, Q&A, meditation, and physical forms. Students also practice what they have learned outside of class.

 

Level I—Golden Shield: Abdomen TrainingGolden Shield Qi Gong Abdomen Training

This level develops the lower dantien or root energy center and strengthens the liver and spleen as well as the muscles, tendons, fascia, and meridians of the abdomen.

The Golden Shield level is beneficial for anyone who wants to feel more grounded, balanced, and centered in their daily life. It can be especially helpful for health practitioners, who often face the problem of giving away their energy and becoming depleted at work.

A training especially well-suited to the needs of busy Americans, Golden Shield rapidly enhances your energy production, circulation, and storage. By stimulating the function of your digestive organs and drawing your energy into your center, you begin to feel more centered, grounded, and vital.

Golden Shield is an extremely wise investment in your health and longevity. The training takes approximately 10 – 15 months to complete.

Level II – Golden Bell: Torso TrainingGolden Shield Qi Gong Torso Training

This level develops the middle dantien or heart energy center, It strengthens the lungs, kidneys, and heart as well as the skin, fascia, muscles, tendons, bones, and meridians of the torso.

Golden Bell teaches you to use the qi created in the previous Golden Shield level to increase the function of your lungs, kidneys, and heart; build bone mass; open the meridians of your entire body; and detoxify your entire system of chemical and emotional impurities..

According to Chinese medicine, all the meridians of the body pass through the torso. Using a wide variety of specifically-crafted qi gong training tools, the entire region is revitalized, the meridians are opened, bone strength is enhanced in the spine and rib cage, and the internal organs are made more robust. It aims to improve the function of your endocrine system, and activate your middle dantien (heart energy center) to restore vitality and youthfulness

Requirements: Students must complete Golden Shield (abdomen) training before beginning Golden Bell training.

Level III – Golden Crown: Head TrainingGolden Shield Qi Gong Head Training

This level develops the middle dantien or third eye energy center, It strengthens the brain, stomach, gallbladder, large intestine, and bladder as well as the spine, skin, fascia, muscles, bones, and meridians of the head.

This intense and exhilarating training is designed to improve your brain capacity and mental functioning by strengthening qi in the brain and creating the equivalent of an immune system for the brain. You also learn to activates the upper dantien (third eye energy center) by increasing qi flow in the yang meridians.

Through this training, you strengthen your tendons and cervical bones, eliminating neck problems, headaches, dizziness, and high blood pressure. You also learn to train and strengthen your stomach, gallbladder, large intestine, and bladder as well as your spine, skin, fascia, muscles, bones, and the meridians of the head.

Requirements: Students must complete Golden Shield and Golden Bell trainings prior to beginning Golden Crown training.

Golden Brushes: Hand TrainingGolden Shield Qi Gong Hand Training

This level strengthens the brain, heart, and lungs as well as the muscles, tendons, bones, and meridians of the hands and arms.

Golden Brushes training is designed to improve the health, strength, flexibility, and resilience of your arms, hands, and wrists as well as your brain. You also learn to integrate all three energy centers to better harmonize your physical and mental systems.  Golden Brushes  is beneficial for anyone whose profession depends on the agility and health of their hands, or for anyone wishing to keep their hands, arms, and wrists functioning at their best. In addition, it increases mental sharpness, integrates the brain, and promotes balance. Hand training can be especially helpful for health practitioners such as bodyworkers and acupuncturists.

Requirements: Students must complete Golden Shield training before beginning Golden Brushes training.

Golden Pillars: Leg TrainingGolden Shield Qi Gong Leg Training

This level strengthens the kidneys, liver, and spleen meridians as well as the muscles, tendons, bones, and meridians of the legs and feet.

The Golden Pillars are the powerhouse of longevity. This level teaches your body to open the meridians of your legs and feet, enhancing full-body circulation. It also aims to integrate the mind with the lower section of the body, providing mental grounding and stabilizing emotional imbalances.

Golden Pillars is beneficial for anyone who spends a large amount of time on their feet, such as athletes, retail workers, and construction workers. It can also be very helpful for any of the following:

Advanced Levels

The following advanced trainings are available to those who have successfully completed all five preceding levels. If you have reached this stage in your journey and are interested in learning more about these advanced trainings, your instructor can share more details about what to expect and what you will learn.

Bridge training:  This training focuses on preventing the degeneration of the reproductive organs and the connection between the physical level of the body and the pure energy level.

Advanced Hands: This is a continuation of Golden Brushes hands training.

Pure Energy:  In this course, you will learn advanced techniques for channeling your energy.  To enroll in this training, students must have completed the Bridge training along with the five basic levels. This level of training develops our mind's relationship with energy (qi) and how to use it. In the later stages of this training, you will learn valuable techniques for healing your own body and others. The levels taught so far are Air, Water, and Crystal, but new trainings are still being given.
